The urban division of KOCH Records is gearing up for a strong first quarter amidst several huge company announcements. The company will be releasing albums by Havoc, Slim Thug, D-Block, Alchemist, and Skull Gang featuring Juelz Santana in the first quarter alone. Jim Jones will continue his involvement in A&R for the label.
KOCH Records is changing its name to E1 Music effective immediately. E1 Entertainment, the Canadian parent company of KOCH, has announced the transition in an effort to put all of its subsidiaries under one global banner.
Although the main office of E1 Music will move to Long Island, NY at the end of February into larger quarters, the urban division of E1 Music will remain at the same building in New York City.
Alan Grunblatt, General Manager of E1 Music, states, “We are looking at the best year in our history. We are just changing our name to E1 and will continue to change the game.”
Bob Frank, President of E1 Music, adds, “E1 Music will pick up where KOCH Records left off as the #1 Independent 8 years running. These are very challenging but exciting times for the recorded music business. We have positioned the company perfectly so that we can continue to win!”
